Brightland // Aish Iyer

Brightland brings you extra virgin olive oils that are consciously handcrafted in California, have a high smoke point and are perfect for cooking, baking, drizzling and more. Founded by Aishwarya Iyer, Brightland offers two distinct products — “Awake” and “Alive” custom blends — featuring heirloom Arbequina and Arbosana olives harvested from a single family farm in California’s Central Coast and milled on-site through organic methods. This new California-based olive oil has a mission to champion authenticity in the American olive oil industry and make the glowiest product possible. Pristinely packaged in UV-protected opaque glass bottles, Brightland is quite possibly the most gorgeous olive bottle in the world! What’s even better is that they make your kitchen and countertops even more beautiful than ever.

Filled with antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties, and more, olive oil is a potent superfood that we truly believe in. Fats are absolutely crucial for optimal health, but high quality fats are key. Thanks to Brightland, we can count on receiving the endless benefits of good quality olive oil. High quality olive oil is worth the investment for your health and beyond.

A graduate of New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, Aishwarya started her career in L’Oreal’s luxury products division at Lancôme, which sparked her interest in the definition of luxury and passion for building memorable consumer brands. In 2017, inspired by her personal entrepreneurial vision to bring new energy and change to the American olive oil industry, Aishwarya began conceptualizing and building Brightland, with the mission to craft premium, custom-blended extra virgin olive oil that is nourishing for the body, heart and soul. We couldn’t love her product more. They make for the perfect give for yourself or anyone you love.

Most profound healing experience you've ever had?

I worked with a life coach, and together we mapped out how fear had rooted itself into my psyche over the years. My life coach, my family, myself.

What is the biggest learning experience you've had to face and what did you take away from it?

You cannot care so much about what other people think and you cannot focus on pleasing other people; it’s your one life, and you have to live for yourself.

Wake up, meditate, take my dog for a walk, do a 45 minute workout (jump rope and yoga), eat a savory breakfast (homemade, healthy leftover pizza), do a face mask, shower, go to LACMA with my husband. Get lunch at Woodlands, take a two second jet to New York, spend the afternoon at McNally Jackson (RIP), my favorite bookstore in Soho, have drinks and dinner at Bombay Bread Bar, take a 1 second jet to Houston, TX, hang with my parents + drink bedtime tea with them. Another 1 second jet back to LA, and go to bed.

What is your most valuable glow tip/secret?

Drink lots and lots of water.
