Gaia Herbs Golden Milk
Gaia Herb's Golden Milk is one of our favorite ways to begin and end our days on a glowy note. This convenient blend of herbs adds a much-needed dose of ease into our mindfulness and ojas-building practices.
We are huge fans of Gaia Herbs Golden Milk, which is based on a traditional Ayurvedic recipe (see below) that has been savored for centuries and used to support the mind and body in a number of ways. It is a soothing beverage that makes us feel grounded and like we are really taking care our mind and bodies. Gaia's mission is to connect plants with people, and we fully support this symbiotic relationship with nature.
Golden Milk is vegan and gluten free with no GMOs or soy. The delicious mix of turmeric, dates and herbs is simple to use via a mix-in powder, and we really appreciate the ease factor of Gaia’s blend; making for a seamless way to add nourishment and glow into our daily routines. The herbal blend comes in a convenient jar, so that you don't have to buy all different ingredients to make this soothing drink. The ingredients include: turmeric, black pepper, vanilla, ashwaganda, cardamom, and dates. Turmeric is a versatile herb that maintains overall health and vitality. The black pepper is traditionally paired with turmeric to support absorption. Vanilla adds in a sweet aroma, and is used as a natural mood booster. Ashwaganda is a highly valued herb in Ayurveda, and it's an adaptogen that tonifies the entire system, encouraging strength and stamina*. Cardamom is an aromatic herb that has a long history of supporting the digestive system*. Dates are naturally sweet, adding in a great source of vitamins and minerals as well. We love heating up this mix with some almond milk or coconut milk as a daily ritual of mindfulness.
There is power in rituals, and that's what we find most lovely about Gaia Herb's Golden Milk. It allows us to find our golden hour every morning and night; set time for ourselves, and check-in with ourselves. Approaching our mornings or ending our days with this type of mindfulness is a real game-changer. Being present in our environments allows us to cultivate a greater connection to ourselves, our surroundings, and really lets us manifest, grow, and glow.
// GAIA HERB'S TRADITIONAL GOLDEN MILK RECPE //
1. Melt 1 teaspoon ghee in a small sauce pan over medium heat
2. Whisk in 1 serving of Gaia Herbs Golden Milk, a pinch of saffron thread, and 1 cup whole milk 2% (you can swap out for Almond, Coconut, or Cashew Milk)
3. Heat, stirring often, until mixture is quite warm but not boiling.
4. Remove from heat, and add 1-2 teaspoons of honey to taste.
5. Pour into your favorite mug, savor and enjoy immediately.
